The Lake District is romantic and beautiful however it does get its fair share of rain, its one of the best places for your wedding, providing naturally dramatic backdrops so either glorious sunshine or dark dramatic rainy skies you are guaranteed to have timeless unique images to cherish.

The Lake District is a great location to get married, with a huge choice and a wonderful variety of traditional wedding venues inside the national park alongside more quirky venues, like rustic barns, Tipi's or Marquees on the shore of a lake. We enjoy creating wedding photos that use the natural elements of your Lake District wedding venue or scenic location to reflect into your wedding photographs.
Shooting at Cragwood Country Hotel as Lake District wedding photographers we had the honour of being the first to shot their first ever Lake Side wedding. We aim to create unique timeless images for our couples, using natural light to achieve elegant images that you will be proud to have on you wall or in your album providing happy memories of your wedding to cherish for years to come.
Another first this year in the Lake District for us was the shooting of the stunning new wedding venue to us The Punch Bowl Inn in Crossthwaite well worth putting on your wish list as a wedding venue.

Wild Melody Weddings has been established as unique & intimate elopement wedding photographers in the Lake District national park for & 7 years now. We are a successful collaboration of both Kolette and I ( Katrina) and as such are sought after for our Lake District elopement wedding photography. We split our roles, we are individually accomplished Lake District wedding photographers, Kolette heads up the role of shooting your day and I edit your gorgeous images in our signature colours. Our Wedding Photography especially our elopement wedding photography bookings in the Lake District has kept us busy and we have been extremely successful over the last 7 years, keeping us busy across Cumbria & Lancashire. We have been so lucky to shoot in some amazing wedding venues in the Lake District & beyond.

We are romantics at heart, with a mix of fun & creative ideas. We are experienced photographers with a natural flair for details, organising & above all obsessive people watchers. We shoot candid moments, those ones where no one knows you are looking, we prefer this style over the posed formal shots, its suits our relaxed fun vibe which is what our couples booked us for.
