I was asked to shot a small intimate elopement styled wedding in Egremont up the west Cumbria coast not far up the coast from myself so totally on my patch as a Cumbrian wedding photographer, being on the edge of the Lake District I do my fair share of Elopement wedding photography as a wedding photographer, so I was super excited to shoot up the coast in the west Cumbrian hills.

Elopement weddings are so popular now with in the Lake District as there are so many beautiful country houses and glorious gardens for those all important couple shoots so i was super happy to be the elopement wedding photographer in West Cumbria for them.

Sam and Stacy live up on the rolling hills of West Cumbria in a large traditional country farmhouse with ducks and chickens sprinkled along and amongst the lush green grass in the fields that hold some very gorgeous ponies belonging to Sam and Stacy’s children.

Sam and Stacy’s family consist of Lexie 2 years , twins Mia and Jessica who’s ponies are grazing calmly in the fields, and all these girls are watched and protected by their big brother Riley 17 who herds them like sheep keeping them in order along with some kittens and a couple of dogs, before he heads off to Uni in September.

Sam and Stacy wanted a very natural shoot, not dressed up to the nines but just portraying them both as natural people and natural lives, we did shoot with farm machinery in the distance, the Cumbrian wind rattling through the eaves of the barns. Of course the girls had to take centre stage and pop on some bridesmaid dresses and jump around in the hay as is only right when you are all a close family unit, the children come first, and Sam and Stacy selflessly gave up some shoot time for them.

I have enclosed the photographs of the girls also as Sam and Stacy gave up a lot of their time complimentary shoot for their family, no surprise at all if you knew them, so generous to a fault, a true family couple
